Biography

Aris Athanasopoulos, founder of Wrecked Ambience and a member of the Hellenic Film Academy is a multi-award winning Sound Recordist and Sound Designer, active for the past 20+ years. Aris has worked under many established and influential directors and comes from a line of sound recordists. His recording repertoire consists of the most up to date equipment standing at the forefront of international and Greek cinema.Films he has sound recorded have premiered at the Venice Film Festival amongst others, and he has won the 2015 award for Best Sound from the Hellenic Film Academy. Aris has the largest sound library in Greece with location sound's recorded since 1970 - accumulating over the years into a uniquely, personal library that allows him to create a distinct sound design.
