Nikki Wright is a Los Angeles-based writer, songwriter, and performance artist developing Play With Me, a dark psychological musical blending surreal fantasy, fractured identity, and haunting original music. Raised near the Sequoias, she draws on atmospheric landscapes and dreamlike imagery to shape her cinematic, realm-driven storytelling.

A method-based performer, Wright enters characters through embodiment, movement, and emotional state rather than imitation. Her transformations are triggered by lighting, silhouette, gesture, and sound, allowing her to shift into psychological realms with instinctive precision.

Wright is the sole writer and copyright owner of an extensive catalog of original songs spanning multiple years, many of which form the musical backbone of Play With Me. Her compositions range from playful and ironic to unsettling and emotionally raw, reflecting the shifting inner worlds of her characters. She also wrote the title song Play With Me, performed by Solomon Burke Jr. on a set where the two met.
