Cedric Benson was born on December 28, 1982 in Midland, Texas, USA. He died on August 17, 2019 in Austin, Texas, USA.

RB taken 4th overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2005 NFL draft out of the University of Texas-Austin. Also taken 370th overall by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2001 MLB Draft.

Police say Benson and his female passenger were on his motorcycle heading down Ranch to Market Road 2222 when a minivan pulled out on Mount Bonnell Road and hit them. Poor visibility was cited as the cause. Benson and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. [August 17, 2019].
