Close friends with WWE Superstars, Stephen Farrelly (Sheamus) and Stu Bennett (Wade Barrett). They met in the Independent Wrestling circuit early on when they wrestled together in the UK.

Prior to being signed by WWE, he attended Glasgow Caledonian University in Glasgow, Scotland, where he completed the courses with a degree in Criminology. Although he wasn't able to attend his graduation and has yet to receive his diploma.

Won the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble 30 man elimination match.

On the November 13, 2023 edition of WWE RAW, he turned heel when he attacked Jey Uso (Jey Uso), costing both him and Cody Rhodes their match against Damian Priest and Finn Balor (Fergal Devitt) for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team titles.
