- His character on SVU, Sgt. Mike Dodds, was the second squad member in the Law & Order franchise history to be killed. Mike Logan's first partner on Law & Order was killed early in the series.
- Received his third Tony nomination for another screen-to-stage adaptation: for Best Actor in a musical as weatherman Phil Connors in "Groundhog Day". He received an Olivier Award (first nomination and win) for the same role on the West End.
- Received two Tony nominations in a row for both musical acting categories: Lead Actor for "Rocky" in 2014 and Featured Actor for "On the 20th Century" in 2015.
- Reunited with his wife Orfeh on the Broadway stage in the musical adaptation of Pretty Woman (1990), starring as Edward Lewis and Kit De Luca. They previously shared the Broadway stage in the musical adaptation of Legally Blonde (2001) in 2007 as Paulette and the UPS Guy. (2018)
- Andy and his wife Orfeh performed at Feinstein's/54 Below in a concert titled "Legally Bound" as a reference to their marriage and their stint in Broadway's "Legally Blonde" as Kyle the UPS Man and Paulette. - Joined over 35 Broadway stars in the "Inauguration Broadway! Seasons of Love/Let the Sun Shine In" video that aired on January 20, 2021 for the inauguration of United States President Joseph R. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
