- U.S. Navy veteran and multidisciplinary filmmaker, E.C. McMullen Jr. writes novels and produces films in horror and thriller genres. He is the creator of Feo Amante’s Horror Thriller, founded in 1997 and one of the longest-running actively maintained horror websites. Based in Texas, he publishes under his own name and the pen name Feo Amante.

- As his alter ego, Feo Amante, McMullen provided the Forward, along with artist Gahan Wilson, for the graphic novel, Robert Rhine's Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell, a loving callback to old E.C. monster comics which featured art from Alex Pardee (Chadam (2010), Sucker Punch (2011), This Is the End (2013)), Jim Smith (The Ren & Stimpy Show (1991), Samurai Jack (2001)), William Stout (Conan the Barbarian (1982), The Return of the Living Dead (1985), Pan's Labyrinth (2006)), and David Hartman (John Dies at the End (2012), Phantasm: Ravager (2016)).
