Adam Patrick Devine is an American actor, comedian, singer, screenwriter,and producer. He is one of the stars and co-creators of the Comedy Central comedy television series Workaholics (2011) and Adam Devine's House Party (2013). He played the role of Bumper in the musical films Pitch Perfect (2012) and Pitch Perfect 2 (2015). He had recurring sitcom roles as Andy Bailey in Modern Family and Adam DeMamp in Workaholics. He also had roles in the films The Intern, The Final Girls, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Game Over, Man! and When We First Met. He has voiced characters in films including Ice Age: Collision Course and The Lego Batman Movie, as well as in the animated series Uncle Grandpa, Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero, Vampirina, Green Eggs and Ham and Bad Ideas with Adam Devine.

Had a horrific accident in 1995 when he was eleven. He was hit by a 42-ton cement truck and broke all the bones in his legs. It took him two years before he could fully walk again.
Seldom shows his legs because he required extensive skin grafting on his legs following his accident, which resulted in brutal scarring, swelling and discoloration that can rarely be covered with make-up.
Lived in the house that Workaholics is filmed in originally with Blake Anderson and Kyle Newacheck. The house is now used for filming.
Back when he was a teenager and still living in Omaha, he worked at the grocery store that About Schmidt (2002) was filmed at. He was kicked off the set because he couldn't stop staring at Jack Nicholson and making sure his face was on camera.
Before doing the audition for Pitch Perfect (2012), he thought the movie was about baseball and was doing warm-up exercises in the parking lot and rubbing himself with dirt for a more realistic baseball-playing character.

Even as a kid, I was a businessman. I figured out that if you plucked all the berries off my neighbor's tree and smashed them up, they made a Nickelodeon Gak-type consistency. I sold them to all the neighborhood kids and made stacks of quarters. Of course, the berries were poisonous, and I got in all types of trouble.
I sang the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium - at a baseball game - which was crazy; there was, like, 60,000 people there, which is a huge deal in America - singing the National Anthem.
I think making friends is not being afraid to look stupid, because everyone wants a friend who is willing to be stupid and fun. If you try and be too cool, it only works in high school. After that, being uncool is a very cool thing to do. So just have fun, and don't worry what other people think of you and people will want to be your friends.
I always wanted to be a comedic actor - that's what I wanted from the job - to do comedy and to create my own comedy. But I still love doing stand-up and will probably be doing it forever. I'd love to be an old guy who can't really walk, can't really stand-up, and I have to sit on the stool and tell jokes.
Jealousy is the worst trait in any person.
