Biography

As well as his radio career, Nigel was a composer and touring musician - playing both theatre and church organs.

First job was as a salesman and demonstrator at an electronic organ business in Hyde, Cheshire. He later opened his own business in Sal.

Initially, Nigel trained as a school teacher but was determined to make a name for himself in music.

Started playing the organ at the age of just 12, after studying the piano for several years. It was a love which he developed from his father, who was a church organist.
