Biography

  • Dania Pasquini is a British film and television director best known as one half of the directing duo Max & Dania. She directed the UK box-office hit StreetDance 3D, the first British feature shot entirely in 3D, which opened at number one in the UK and grossed approximately £11.6 million domestically and around $17.7 million in worldwide theatrical revenue. The success led to the theatrical releases of StreetDance 2 and the musical feature Walking on Sunshine.

She was invited by BBC Films to direct What If as part of the Cultural Olympiad, alongside directors including Mike Leigh, Lynne Ramsay and Asif Kapadia.

Before transitioning into features, Pasquini established herself as one of the UK’s leading music video directors, working with artists including Craig David, Oasis, Jamelia, Busted, Wu-Tang Clan, Wyclef Jean, A$AP Ferg and So Solid Crew. Her work received major recognition, including a BRIT Awards Best Video win for So Solid Crew’s "21 Seconds".

Her later credits include the Sky Cinema Original feature Breaking Point.

She continues to develop original feature film and television projects, bringing a strong instinct for commercially driven storytelling, broad audience appeal, and a distinctive British genre sensibility to contemporary screen entertainment.
