Biography

  • Todd Carroll grew up in Ottawa Canada singing his first song at seven years old and acting out skits in his basement with his brother. His favorite class in school was Dramatic Arts although he left High School at a young age. Todd worked at various jobs to survive and eventually became a licensed mechanic. After years of working as a mechanic Todd finally broke out at the age of 35 and decided to professionally pursue his true love of acting and singing.

He moved to Vancouver Canada in the winter of 1998 to pursue his acting and singing career, where he trained intensively for years.

In 2001 he opened the Granville Actors Studio, where actors could train with various instructors and techniques. Todd ran the studio for several years before closing it, as he wanted to put more focus on his own career. In October of 2009 Todd Carroll released his first original CD "Its My Time" after fronting several bands in Vancouver Canada.

Todd moved to El Paso Texas in March of 2008; he Married a long time flame and dove head first into theatre doing the lead role in "Jakes Women" and "I'm Not Rappaport" at the El Paso Playhouse. He took on the roles of Charles Dickens and Bob Cratchit in "A Christmas Carol" at the University of El Paso.

He divorced in 2013 and remained acting and teaching at the El Paso Acting Studio he established in 2009 and taught at for seven years. The drive from El Paso to Albuquerque and Santa Fe New Mexico for auditions helped Todd realize he had to be in Los Angeles. It was in 2015 that he decided to move to Los Angeles where he hoped he would find full time work as an actor and has worked on T.V. crime shows and independent films since coming to Los Angeles. Todd still teaches small groups of actors and does private coaching.
