Soraya Garre

Soraya was born in Algeria, but grew up in the South of France in a healthy mixture of Algerian, Spanish and French cultures (she speaks French, English and Spanish fluently). She started training as an actress in Montpellier, then went to the City Lit Institute in London before going back to France, this time training at Acting International School of Acting in Paris. She worked for French actor Patrick Timsit as a rehearsal study for his TV film 'Landru'. But an opportunity to move to L.A. came up and she took it!

In Los Angeles, Soraya first continued training and then started working as a Producer and Voice Artist for E!News France. In parallel to her pursuing a career in film, Soraya started developing her educational web series "Oh La La, Hollywood Speaks French!". She also wrote/produced/starred in a short film entitled "I'm not an Accent". In Paris, she was cast in Joseph Cahill's feature film, "Meta", shot commercials, short films and a web series and appeared on a French TV show. She went on to record several audio books in French - American thrillers by Sophie Love, Fiona Grace and Blake Pierce, published by Lukeman Literary Agency - and then produced a drama short film, "Haunted", which she co-wrote with acclaimed director Jon Amiel (Copycat, Entrapment and many others) and in which she also starred. She received the Outstanding Leading Actress in a Short Film Award at the Madrid International Film Festival for her performance. "Haunted" also received the Best Foreign Film Award at the ASPAC International Social Film Festival in 2025, in France. Soraya is now making her directorial debut with a comedy short film, La Vie Smart, which she also produced/wrote and starred in. The film is about to hit the festival circuit and offers a satirical take on social media platforms.
