Biography

Omar Bah is a SAG-AFTRA actor with over twenty years of professional experience in film, television, and theatre. Born in Washington, D.C. to parents from Guinea, West Africa, he has built a career portraying men of authority, intellect, and institutional power.

His screen credits include a principal role on The Apprentice Africa, produced by Mark Burnett. His Off Broadway work spans the Abingdon Main Stage, the Negro Ensemble Company, and the Workshop Theatre Company.

He trained at Interlochen Center for the Arts, the Negro Ensemble Company, and The Groundlings. He is fluent in French and holds both United States and Guinean passports.

He is a professional National Security Role Player for the U.S. Department of Defense and State Department Diplomatic Attache School, an expert witness actor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, and a Standardized Patient Instructor at George Washington University.

Leveraging his volunteer experience and board service in the nonprofit sector, Omar founded WOKE Arts in 2018. WOKE Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts membership organization committed to social change, aiming to bridge cultural and class divides through the arts by addressing universal social issues.
