Biography

Rafael Cebrián is an Imagen Award winning actor shaped by a global perspective and a musician’s instinct for rhythm, with an on screen ease that moves naturally between humor and emotional depth. From his early work in European and Latin American productions to breakout success on global platforms, he has built a career defined by range and ambition. That’s why he was named an "International Star You Should Know" by Variety.

His performance as Héctor on Apple TV+’s hit series Acapulco became a defining moment. Across four seasons, Cebrián’s charisma and emotional intuition made him one of the show’s breakout stars, earning him the 2025 Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actor after an earlier nomination in 2023. The series has received multiple Critics Choice nominations and was named a "must-watch comedy" by Forbes.

A graduate of Brown University and classically trained at RADA, Cebrián has built an international career across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. He works in English, Spanish, French, and Italian with a grounded, dynamic presence.

Before acting, Cebrián toured as a drummer for a Sony-signed Spanish band and now plays with indie act Syd Taylor. He approaches acting the way he approaches music: through rhythm, instinct, and emotional truth. This sensibility continues to guide his work.

He is an accomplished actor and musician. Drummer for Spanish rock band "The Monomes". He has released two albums: "Give it an M" (2008/18chulos Record) and "Sweet Champagne" (2011/Sony Music). Both albums topped the Spanish billboard charts.

Graduated from Brown University in 2011.
