Mark is all about being curious and adventurous. This has led him down fascinating paths where he's been able to explore his various talents, including acting, writing, singing, and photography. He's made his living as an actor for the past decade, including co-starring roles on TV's hit series "Nashville" and a handful of indie films. An in-demand voice actor, he's narrated over 100 audiobooks. His music has taken him all over the world-writing, recording, and touring under the name Marcus Royce. His songs have been featured in the films "Clancy" and "The Perfect Gift." And he's probably planning exciting new projects right now while drinking a cup of coffee, and wondering if the Minnesota Twins might be able to come up with a winning season this year.

Mark's first on-screen appearance in a film was as an extra in the cult favorite Drop Dead Fred (1991) which starred Phoebe Cates and Rik Mayall. You can see him in the food fight scene just over Phoebe's shoulder. The director kept telling him to stop looking toward the camera.
Mark was an announcer on two different Nashville-based national radio networks using the name Matt Thomas. "Matt" sounded friendly, and "Thomas" was his best friend from Up With People. He still does a ton of voice overs, including promo spots for movie networks in India.
Mark traveled with the international performing group Up With People his year after high school-mostly dancing, but wanting to sing. He had an emergency appendectomy while on tour in Calgary, Alberta. His cast never performed in a Super Bowl halftime show, though a nationally-televised TV show on ZDF in Germany was a highlight.
