- Their debut album, "Music in a Doll's House", was produced by Traffic guitarist Dave Mason.
- Lead singer Roger Chapman got into a fistfight with promoter Bill Graham following their performance at the Filmore East. During the band's performance Chapman accidentally hurled a microphone stand in Graham's direction and the two got into an argument which escalated into fisticuffs.
- The original line-up for the band was Roger Chapman (vocals), Charlie Whitney (guitar), Ric Grech (bass), Rob Townsend (drums) and Jim King (saxophone). Later members included John Weider (bass and violin), John "Poli" Palmer (vibes, flute, keyboards), John Wetton (bass), Jim Cregan (bass) and Tony Ashton (keyboards).
- Just before the band was to start their first American tour bassist/violinist Ric Grech unexpectedly quit the band to join the band Blind Faith.
- During their first tour of the United States lead singer Roger Chapman not only lost his voice, but lost his work visa and was forced to return to England, which effectively killed the band's chances of breaking through in America.
