  • Steve Spangler started his career in television in 1991 as the host of the nationally syndicated series News for Kids, produced by NBC Business Video. Steve joined KUSA-TV in Denver in 2000 as an on-air talent featuring weekly education-based segments that showcased engaging science experiments viewers could try at home. Steve's work in television news earned him two Heartland Emmy Awards in 1997 and 2010.

    Steve Spangler hosts the nationally syndicated television series DIY Sci (2016-2025), where viewers learn how to use do-it-yourself experiments to amaze friends. The weekly series features jaw-dropping science experiments viewers can do at home using easy to find materials that are guaranteed to create moments of wonder, discovery and exploration. DIY Sci is part of a 3-hour E/I (Educational and Informational) syndication block called Xploration Station created by Steve Rotfeld Productions (SRP). The DIY Sci show has been nominated for 3 Daytime Emmy Awards including Best Host in a Daytime Series. The show is available on Fox and CW affiliates as well as streaming on Amazon, Hulu and more.
