Kate Simko
Kate Simko is an American composer, electronic music producer, and leader of her ensemble London Electronic Orchestra.

Kate graduated from the Royal College of Music in London in 2014 with a Masters in Composition for Screen and received her Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University. While at Northwestern, Kate began DJ'ing and co-wrote her first electronic music album. In 2002, Kate moved to Los Angeles where she worked with Academy Award winning sound designer Stephen Flick, gaining her first experience in feature films.

Kate's remix of Philip Glass "Houston Skyline" reached the Top 100 in the Billboard Classical chart, and her house hit "Go On Then Ft. Jem Cooke" ended 2011 in the Top 10 on the Beatport 'Deep House' chart worldwide. Her music has been licensed by ABC Television, Victorinox, and Giorgio Armani, and she has written original music for various mediums including films, commercials, and programs on the BBC, Netflix, and PBS Independent Lens.

Kate's first classical-electronic feature score, 'Music from The Atom Smashers' (2009, Ghostly International) was critically-acclaimed by Pitchfork Magazine and featured on PBS Independent Lens. In 2011 Kate released her solo album 'Lights Out', which was accompanied by a worldwide 'live cinema' tour, which premiered at the Istanbul International Film Festival.

In 2012 Kate moved to London, where she formed her classical-electronic hybrid ensemble London Electronic Orchestra. Kate's most recent soundtrack to 'We Believe In Dinosaurs' was released on Lakeshore Records.
