Michael was a producer and director, known for People of the Forest: The Chimps of Gombe (1988), National Geographic Specials (1965) and Henry's Amazing Animals (1996). Michael was married to Jennie Muskett. Michael died on October 21, 2015 in South Africa.

- Assistant editor & photographer turned producer who worked in the UK, where in 1968, he co-founded Allegro Films with Christopher Nupen, Peter Heelas, Diana Baikie (Manager, died 1979) and David Findlay. In 1974, he left to set up wildlife specialists Partridge Films. In 1996, he sold this and moved back to South Africa where he started Peartree Films.
