- While an undergraduate at Harvard University, Rachel created a major of her own design called Cinedramatic Arts: the unique combination of film and theater studies and minored in African-American studies.
- Rachel is a Master of Fine Arts degree candidate at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Film & Television production.
- Her senior project for graduation was co-directing the 2013 Harvard Office of the Arts "Arts First" production of the hit musical Dreamgirls.
