- Kelvin Hale is an American actor originally from Brooklyn, New York. Before stepping into the spotlight, he had a career as a professional heavyweight boxer from 1997 to 2006. He transitioned into acting during the fall of 2006 and has since built a diverse portfolio across television, film, and stage You can see Kelvin in television shows American Sports Story, Orange is the New Black and Power, and in films Monster, Chuck, and Girls Against Boys. On stage he has portrayed Huddie 'Lead Belly' Ledbetter in the musical, Woody Guthrie Dreams and as Joel 'Papa D' Davis in James Baldwin's play, Blues for Mister Charlie.
