Nechama Tec was born on 15 May 1931 in Lublin, Poland. He was a writer, known for Defiance (2008). He was married to Leon Tec. He died on 3 August 2023 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
SHE studied sociology at Columbia University, receiving a bachelor's degree, a master's and a doctorate. She taught at Columbia, Rutgers and Trinity College before joining the faculty of the University of Connecticut.
