Biography

Tiago Gomes de Sousa is a Portuguese Mix and Mastering Engineer known for his distinctive sonic craftsmanship across music, film, and contemporary art.

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Tiago graduated in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2005 before pursuing his true passion for sound. In 2006, he moved to Manchester to study Audio Engineering Techniques and Technology at the School of Sound Recording, graduating with Distinction.

Over the past two decades, Tiago has built a remarkable career in audio production, contributing to more than 100 albums and collaborating with leading artists such as Salvador Sobral, Bruno Pernadas, Cristina Branco, Mário Laginha, and Júlio Resende. His mastering work on Salvador Sobral's bpm earned him a Latin Grammy nomination in 2021 for Best Engineered Album.

Beyond the music studio, Tiago's sound design and mixing work extends into film and contemporary art, where he has collaborated with celebrated artists including Julião Sarmento, Héctor Zamora, João Pedro Vale, Pedro Dinis Reis, and Tatiana Macedo.

Based in Lisbon, Tiago continues to explore the intersection of art, emotion, and sound, crafting immersive sonic experiences that transcend genres and mediums.
