After years as an Assistant Director on high-profile projects across Europe, she stepped behind the camera to pursue her lifelong dream of directing, bringing a fearless, uncompromising vision to every frame.
Her debut, Survivors (Director’s Version)-inspired by the 1972 Andes tragedy of the Uruguayan rugby team-earned international acclaim, receiving top honors at festivals from Santiago to New York, Milan, Paris, Mumbai, and Hollywood. The project marked the beginning of Marian’s signature approach: storytelling that is intimate, emotionally resonant, and visually striking.
Her recent work continues this trajectory, blending social consciousness with cinematic craft. In Rocky’s Story, she captures the silent suffering of a sea lion wounded by human violence, using restraint and close observation to convey both vulnerability and resilience. Currently in production on Whisper in the Wind - Warriors of the Ocean, she expands her exploration of the fragile boundary between humanity and the natural world, serving as both director and cinematographer to ensure every frame carries her meticulous, personal authorship.
