Biography

Shaohua Yang was born on June 17, 1931 in Beijing, China. He was an actor, known for The Forbidden Kingdom (2008), P Storm (2019) and L Storm (2018). He was married to Ouyang Sufen. He died on July 9, 2025 in China.

In 1951, Yang Shaohua came to Tianjin to work as a fitter and became the literary backbone of the factory trade union. Later, he was transferred to the Nankai District Opera Troupe and officially became a professional crosstalk actor.

He studied crosstalk at the Qiming Tea Club in Beijing, and began to perform on stage at the age of 16.

Yang Shaohua's family was poor in his early years.

In 2018, Yang had appeared in the CCTV New Year's Gala show.

His father, who was Mexican, died before he was born.
