Biography

Simon Lister is a photographer, filmmaker, and Executive Creative Director of Studiotonic, an Australian sound studio known for soundtracks across global advertising, documentaries, and feature films. Lister is currently producing What We Learn, a documentary series on education in unique and challenging environments. For more than twenty years, he has traveled --- often by motorbike --- to remote corners of the world, self-funding journeys that capture the resilience and beauty of the human spirit. Lister’ storytelling featured in Netflix's Tales by Light and in 2020 he creative directed the United Nation's 75th Anniversary film at the General Assembly. His work led UNICEF to contract Lister in 2016 as its global brand photographer and filmographer. He directed its global commercial featuring Liam Neeson, Jackie Chan and Shakira.
