Biography

Enric Canals was born in 1952 in Spain. He was a writer and director, known for The Perfect Stranger (2011), Ordes Militars, segueix la llegenda (2013) and Pep Gimeno 'Botifarra', el cant de les arrels (2014). He died on October 18, 2025.

In 1990, he founded the production company Mercuri SGP, which made documentary series for television. Many focused on history.

Journalist, screenwriter and television producer.

Participated in the Consell d'Administració de la Corporació Catalana de Ràdio i Televisió from 2004 to 2008.

Member of the Audiovisual Council of Catalonia and general director of diffusion of the Generalitat of Catalonia between 1997 and 2001.
