- Matt is an LA-based screenwriter specializing in tense, character-driven stories. His latest project, the survival thriller End of Life, has Sean Ellis attached to direct, with Capstone Pictures, Tea Shop Films, Epicenter, and Sobini Films producing.
A two-time Black List honoree, Matt's feature Green Rush is set up with New Republic Pictures and Will Packer Productions, while his Black List and Hit List selection, Burn Run, was optioned by Shane Salerno of The Story Factory. His feature work also includes Blood on the Water, commissioned by Signature Films.
In television, Matt adapted the true-life story The Runners for Escape Artists and Bridge and Tunnel Entertainment with Andrew Bernstein attached to direct. He also developed the pilot Fire Line with 3Pas Studios.
He honed his craft working as an assistant to acclaimed writer-director Scott Cooper on character-rich films like Out of the Furnace and Black Mass. When he isn’t writing, Matt can be found at his photography studio in DTLA.
