Biography

Involved in the food and toy drives for less fortunate families. Volunteering is something she and her children enjoy doing together for many different causes.

An animal rescue participant for most of her life. Taking in animals found in the wild, either hurt or orphaned, rehabilitating them and finding them safe homes/zoos to live in is one of her passions. In the last 10 years, she has saved over 70 animals and either returned them to the wild or placed them in safe, loving homes or facilities. She loves all animals, but has a special affection for Panda Bears and strong interest in the conservation efforts being made on their behalf. She has a large collection of Panda items and will only buy the ones that send a portion of the proceeds to help with those efforts.

Has been giving child safety classes in small groups locally since her own children started school. She has passed out literature and done classes on street smart kids, internet safety, safety in numbers for public outings and sexual predators. She is linked to the notifications groups for such programs as The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. She passes on updates and puts out posters each time there is a new alert. She is very dedicated to these issues and making sure children are educated about the dangers they face.
