- He injured his left ankle while filming Road to F.A. Cup. As the whole series was mainly filmed with the actors improvising, when Thomas was lying on the ground holding his ankle in pain, the crew genuinely thought he was improvising and kept on filming. Thomas, despite his injury, remained in character. It was only when "cut" was called that the crew realized Thomas was actually hurt.

- One of his greatest inspirations is the speech that Kevin Costner did while interviewed by Michael Parkinson. Costner spoke about being true to yourself, and believing in your vision.
- While at University, he won a screen-writing scholarship that took place in Greece. One of the courses were held by his professor, film director Giovanni Robbiano. It was there Thomas met director Lorenzo Vignolo, who consequently cast Thomas in a music video.
- Met his good friend Stefano Fregni while filming L'uomo dell'argine. The film was the first feature for both of them. Since then they also worked together on Suor Jo, Imagined and the doomed shortfilm Be.Fore.
- Producer Carlo Dusi suggested Thomas to director Karen Hope for her short film Buongiorno Sayonara. The film went on to win multiple awards and earned Thomas a Best Actor Nomination.
