Jon Licht is a versatile composer, singer-songwriter, and producer whose career is defined by a deep understanding of how sound elevates storytelling. He honed his craft over twelve years working alongside his uncle, the late award-winning composer Daniel Licht. During this formative period, Jon contributed to high-profile projects including Modern Family, Body of Proof, and the Silent Hill franchise. Most notably, he composed the score and original songs for all eight seasons of Showtime’s critically acclaimed series, Dexter.

Drawing on his background as a multi-instrumentalist, Jon has built a reputation for creating evocative, genre-bending music. His portfolio includes the score for the hit indie game We Happy Few and his fourth feature film, Fake Empire-his third collaboration with director Brandon Willer. In 2020, he teamed up with Nathaniel Walcott and Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes) to score Paramount’s The Stand. Beyond film and TV, Jon is a frequent collaborator with Microsoft, recently composing the music for their AI-powered Surface Pro global reveal.
