  • José Luis Barrera Galué, was born in Venezuela on January 4th, 1979 in the city of Maracaibo, Edo. Zulia. His acting training began at the Center for Fine Arts in Maracaibo (Centro de Bellas Artes) with the acting workshop for young people "Teatro Acción" (TEA) where he began to develop his first steps as an actor, playwright and director.

    Among his works as an actor, his role as Argán in "El Enfermo Imaginario" stands out, a role for which he would be recognized in the theater of the Marabina region and where he would receive his first recognition when he was Nominated as Best New Actor of the Year for said character in 2003.

    In Argentina (where he currently resides) his most memorable character is "Hidalgo Trelawney", a character he played on the Argentine music scene for 4 seasons in the Musical Comedy "La Isla del Tesoro" by Pablo Flores Torres.

    For television, he participated as an actor in the TV soaps "El Árbol De Gabriel", "Mi Ex Me Tiene Ganas", "Los Secretos de Lucía" and "Nora La Emprendedora") on Venevisión and Televen, the two most popular television channels in Venezuela. After participating in the last TV soap, he emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    In the cinema he began his career as an actor and screenwriter for short films, including "Libre Albedrio" (Actor / Writer), "El Hijo" (Actor), "Mi Libro Onírico" (Actor) "La Factory" (Actor) and "Yo Actor" (Actor) the latter was the Winner of the 4th Venezuelan Film Festival of Diversity. In March 2012 he had his first important participation in a feature film with the film "El Infierno de Gaspar Mendoza" produced by Villa del Cine in Venezuela, where he played a murderer; in 2014, already in Argentina, he played José Antonio Páez in the film "El Encuentro de Guayaquil" by Nicolas Capelli; in 2019 he got his first leading role in the Independent Film "Gonzalo, Un Tipo Con Suerte" by Argentine director Ariel Moyano.
