Award winning producer and director Danny Ben-Moshe is one of Australia's leading documentarians. His acclaimed films have screened on leading networks around the world, played at multiple film festivals and gained rave reviews in the press. His filmography includes 'My Mother's Lost Children', an epic family saga told across five continents and six decades, made in 2017 for BBC Storyville, reviewed by the New Statesman as "funny, sprawling and powerfully touching film...a breath of fresh air". 'Shalom Bollywood: The Untold Story of Indian Cinema' had its world premiere at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in 2017 and was reviewed by the Hollywood Report as "lively, upbeat and entertaining". Danny won Australia's top documentary prize, the Walkley Award for his 2014 ABC film 'Code of Silence' which lifted the lid on sex abuse in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. His 2011 feature length documentary about the 1960s, 'Carnaby Street Undressed', featured rock legends such as Roger Daltry from The Who, and was pick of the week in Britain's 'Sunday Times' and received a four star review in London's 'Time Out'. Most of Danny's films have a quirky dimension, and his latest documentary 'The Outback Rabbis' for SBS TV (2018) and PBS (2019), is a real life fusion of the Australian comedy 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert' with Mel Brook's 'Frisco Kid'. Danny's films have had major impact screenings, such as 'China's Artful Dissident' (2019) screening at the Tate Modern in London. Danny recently completed production on a series of Virtual Reality films with Holocaust survivors and his first podcast series 'My Lost Family' for Audible. Danny has a law and politics degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London and a PhD in Jewish Studies from Melbourne University.
