  • David Torres is a feature film animator with more than two decades of experience at three of animation’s most celebrated studios: Blue Sky Studios, DreamWorks Animation, and Pixar Animation Studios. Torres launched his career at Blue Sky, contributing to the original Ice Age (2002) and rising to lead animator on Robots (2005), Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), and Horton Hears a Who! (2008). At DreamWorks Animation, he became a supervising animator on some of the studio’s most beloved franchises. He served as co-supervising animator of Hiccup, the lead character of How to Train Your Dragon (2010), and returned to the franchise as supervising animator of Eret in How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014). He also served as supervising animator on Megamind (2010) and Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted (2012), and as Head of Character Animation on Penguins of Madagascar (2014). Torres joined Pixar Animation Studios, where his credits span over a decade of the studio’s films, including The Good Dinosaur (2015), Finding Dory (2016), Coco (2017), Incredibles 2 (2018), Toy Story 4 (2019), Soul (2020), Luca (2021), Lightyear (2022), Elemental (2023), and Elio (2025). He served as Directing Animator on Inside Out 2 (2024) and is currently in production on Gatto.
