- Jean-Christophe Maillot was born in 1960 in Tours, Indre-et-Loire, France. He is a director, known for La Belle (2016), The Taming of the Shrew (2020) and Casse-Noisette Circus (2000).
- 2002 : Prix Danza & Danza of the best Best performance granted by critics Italian.
- 2002: Knighthood of the Légion d'honneur.
- 2001: Nijinski Award for Best Choreography for the production of La Belle.
- 1999: Officer of the Order of Cultural Merit of Monaco.
- Since 1993, and on the appointment of Princess Caroline of Monaco, he has been the artistic director of Les Ballets de Monte Carlo.
