  • Manel Vicaria was head of the Filmax press department between 1997 and 2007. In those years he oversaw the promotion of dozens of titles distributed by the company in Spain. These include films such as Million Dollar Baby (Clint Eastwood), Oliver Twist (Roman Polanski), Open Range (Kevin Costner), Love's Labours Lost (Kenneth Branagh), Resident Evil, 16 Blocks, Underworld, Monster, Aeon Flux, Ask the dust, Shaft, The Quiet American, Twisted and Blueberry.

    Simultaneously, he also coordinated the publicity (production and release) of self-produced feature films such as Perfume: the story of a murderer, Darkness, El Lobo, Manolito Gafotas, Tapas, Killing words, Faust, Beyond Re-animator, The Kovak box and Backwoods, to name a few.

    In 2007 he founded the company Vas a Ver, from which he directs press and media strategies for movies produced or distributed by companies such as Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures Intl. Spain, Paramount Pictures, Hispano Fox Films, Sony Pictures Releasing, Aurum, Filmax, Globomedia, Telecinco Cinema, Antena 3 Films, TVE, ...

    Some of the features Vas a Ver has represented as press agency are Rec, Rec 2, Celda 211, Transsiberian, El truco del manco, Fuga de cerebros, Tension sexual no resuelta, Los ojos de Julia, Tres metros sobre el cielo, Torrente 4, Aguila Roja and Mientras duermes.

    As executive producer, Manel Vicaria launched the first two editions of La Wikipeli, short films co-directed in collaboration with online members: Universos (Jose Corbacho and Juan Cruz, 2009) and Miedo (Jaume Balaguero, 2010).
