Born into a family of four in Ballwin, Missouri At the age of two they moved to his home in South St. Louis where he lived for 17 years. He attended Norte Dame Elementary from preschool until his 8th grade graduation and then later Chaminade College Preperatory High School where he first came into contact with the world that is film production. After his high school graduation he then decided to attend a local college, Webster University, to attain a degree in film production.

Up until his Junior year in High School, he aspired to be a musician.

His first real film gig was a result of his father running into the Producers at Panera Bread.

His aunt was Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen&#39;s veterinarian.

Has three siblings: Kevin Gritzke, born in Chicago in 1981. Kevin works at a greeting card company and resides in Kansas City, Kansas with his wife Amanda. Ryan Gritzke, born in Chicago in 1982. Ryan works as a Marine Biologist and resides in Bristol, Rhode Island. And Megan Gritzke, born in St. Louis in 1990.

Attended Webster University as a Film Production Major.
