Ashley Loren is an American actress and singer whose work spans television, film, Broadway, and music. She is best known to theatre audiences for starring as Satine in the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, becoming the longest-running actress to play the role on Broadway.

Her stage credits also include starring in For The Record’s BAZ: Star Crossed Love, playing Ursula in Reprise 2.0’s inaugural production of Sweet Charity, directed by Kathleen Marshall, appearing in the Broadway revival and national tour of Jekyll & Hyde, and playing Extraordinary Girl in Green Day’s American Idiot in Los Angeles.

On screen, Ashley has appeared in NBC’s This Is Us and HBO’s And Just Like That.... She won a Best Featured Actress award for her performance in the independent feature Be the Light and will next appear as Nicci Leone in the upcoming feature The Provider.

After appearing on Season 8 of American Idol, Loren was signed to Universal Music Group/Island Def Jam and went on to perform and record with artists including Bono and U2, Angélique Kidjo, Lupe Fiasco, Dev Hynes/Blood Orange, Yoko Ono, Carly Rae Jepsen, Melissa Etheridge, and Iggy Azalea. Her work as a vocalist has been featured on Saturday Night Live, NPR’s Tiny Desk, Good Morning America, Today, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Late Show with James Corden, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and other national television and radio programs. She has also performed internationally with Broadway ROX, Spiegelworld’s Empire, Nederlander Worldwide, and Amnesty International.

Loren has used her platform to advocate for people living with chronic and invisible illness and to raise awareness for Lyme disease, which she was diagnosed with as a child. Her story of resilience was featured by People Magazine in 2022, and that same year she delivered a keynote address at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala in New York City, which raised $1.85 million for Lyme disease research, education, awareness, and patient services.

As a recording artist, Ashley continues to develop new music and has collaborated extensively with Grammy and Academy Award-winning producer D’Mile. Her previously released music is available on all major streaming platforms.
