After Tony's parents divorced he went to live with his maternal grandparents in the town of Defiance, Ohio.

In 1986 Tony started his career performing stand up comedy, where he performed in comedy clubs all over Southern California. He supported himself teaching comedy traffic school which led to co-hosting and co-producing three radio shows "The Friday Special", "The Weekend Special" and "The Comedy Cavalcade OF Stuff We Made Up".

Tony spent several years at Universal Studios Hollywood first as a Tour Guide and show announcer, then as VIP Guide, Guide Trainer, and Media Liaison.

He has a Degree in Broadcasting from Los Angeles Valley College and a Certificate in Comedy at UCLA.

His "Child of Television" Blog childoftelevision.blogspot.com is an example of life imitating art. Tony wrote a sit-com Pilot titled "Red State" where the main character writes a syndicated column also called "Child of Television". In his spare time he can be found story telling at the Story Salon in North Hollywood, surfing the Net and of course watching TV.

Quotes

  • I represent the first generation whom, when we were born, the television was now a permanent fixture in our homes. When I was born people had breakfast with Barbara Walters, dinner with Walter Cronkite, and slept with Johnny Carson.
