Biography

Lisa grew up in Tarzana, California. Lisa holds a Masters degree in producing from UCLA and a BA in film from Brooks Institute of Film and Photography. In addition she is a certified AVID/Final Cut Pro editor.

In High School she was introduced to photography and was hired by ABC to photograph the California Jam. She is a 3-time Emmy Award winner for directing team for daytime dramas and, she has received a DGA Award (Directors Guild of America Award) for directing team. Lisa spent many years as a producer and CFO, producing feature film trailers, teasers, effects and title design on films such as; Sister Act, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Lethal Weapon 3 to name a few.

As a DGA member she has over 35 years of experience as an AD, Associate Director and Stage Manager. Her father 'Jorn H Winther' a long time award winning Director and Producer known for directing the original David Frost/Nixon interviews (1977) and launching 20/20 and the Today Show. Her mother is a family therapist and nurse. Lisa's siblings 'Lars P Winther' and 'Kim H Winther' are feature film ADs. 'Peter Winther' is a film director and producer. 'Michael Winther' is an actor. Lisa's son, Matthew Rusher is an Emmy award winning lighting board operator for CBS.
