Biography

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for BMW Sauber (2006 (6 GPs)-2007 (16 GPs)-2008 (18 GPs)-2009 (17 GPs)), Renault (2010 (19 GPs)), Williams (2019 (21 GPs)) and Alfa Romeo (2021 (2 GPs)). He started 99 Grands Prix, 1 Win, 1 Pole Position, 1 Fastest Lap, 12 Podiums and 274 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 4th in 2008.

He is the first Polish driver to compete in Formula One. He raced for BMW Sauber between 2006 and 2009, before moving to Renault in 2010. 2006 Italian Grand Prix, Robert Kubica finished 3rd place (6 points), he became the first Polish driver to score point and the first Polish to stand on a Formula 1 podium. He made his comeback as a full-time Formula One driver with Williams in 2019. He took his only pole position at the 2008 Bahrain Grand Prix, won his only race at the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix and recorded his only fastest lap at the 2010 Canadian Grand Prix.

During the 2020 Formula One season, he was a test driver for Alfa Romeo.

He was involved in a high-speed crash during the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix and missed the following race in the United States with minor injuries. He went on to win the Canadian Grand Prix the following year.

He was scheduled to keep his seat with the Renault team for the 2011 Formula One season, but eventually missed the entire season after being critically injured in a rally crash less than two months before the first race.

He won the 2025 24 Hours Le Mans.
