Biography

Kit Redding is a development producer, specializing in reviving dormant IPs into genre-blending comedies for global audiences. In addition to a background in licensing, he has worked in film, television, and web series across a full range of production and creative roles: producer, writer, director, editor, cinematographer, and actor. Redding was born in England to a British mother and a French father of Yemeni and Lebanese descent. He spent his early childhood in France before the family moved to Stamford, Connecticut, where he was voted Class Clown at Trinity Catholic High School and played Jack in the fairy-tale comedy Jack and the Beanstalk at the Curtain Call Arts Center.

He studied film at Fordham University in New York City, earning his B.A. while playing the lead in Christopher Durang's "The Marriage of Bette and Boo." His first comedy screenplay, The Rabbit's Neck, was named a quarter-finalist in Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope screenwriting contest. He sharpened his comedic timing and physical performance at New York's Magnet Theater, developing the off-the-cuff, character-driven approach that runs through his work.

Redding landed the lead role of the Mad Scientist in a national sci-fi comedy commercial for Comedy Central, which led to a principal role in the rom-com Herman & Shelly, premiering at Manhattan's IFC Center. He went on to appear in television projects for NBC, CBS, and Apple. He wrote and directed the independent thriller/fantasy feature Old Friend.
