Biography

Jairzinho was born on December 25, 1944 in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is an actor, known for Rivellino, histórias do tempo que voa (2023), Casseta & Planeta: A Taça do Mundo é Nossa (2003) and Futebol Total (1974).

He was a key member and leading scorer of the legendary Brazil national team that won the 1970 FIFA World Cup.

Jairzinho became the first player to score in every match of a World Cup-winning campaign at the 1970 tournament, scoring in all six of Brazil's games. He scored seven goals in total, a feat that helped Brazil win their third title.
