Wayne Hodges co-wrote, directed and starred in the short film western "Once Upon a Woman". Premiering in Vienna Austria, it went on to win 8 awards in 17 different film festivals worldwide, including a Gold Remi at the 52nd Worldfest - Houston International Film Festival.
Raised on a dairy farm in Idaho, he left home and lived for 2 years in Jamaica as a Mormon Missionary, then served honorably in the United States Marine Corp. After his service, he studied acting at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in West Hollywood, California. He also attended Werner Herzog's Rogue Film School. He has acted in or been a part of numerous productions over the years that have screened and competed in film-festivals internationally: ranging from the aforementioned WorldFest Houston International Film Festival, to the Cannes Film Festival American Pavillion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase., to the Coronado Island Film Festival, to many others. He frequently collaborates with his friend and mentor, Salvador Carrasco.
