Biography

Amy is known for her work in film, TV, and Theatre. She has won several awards including Best Picture and Best Actress. She grew up as an only child in Rhode Island roping her cousins into putting on plays for her family. She has said that she can't remember a time when she didn't know that she was meant to pursue acting. She embraces life and loves to be completely present in the moment and experience every moment throughly. She loves animals and grew up riding horses, winning a few rodeos in upstate new york. She is also a visual artist and received her BA from Rhode Island college. Since leaving college, on a dare, Amy discovered that she's a "natural" at playing the drums. Amy has competed nationally as a ballroom/latin dancer and loves to do dance workouts with Louis Van Amstel of Dancing With The Stars. Ariel silks is another favorite workout of hers. Her life however has not been all warm and fuzzy, she has been through a lot of life changing experiences that add a level or reality to her work that is both exhilarating and devastating. Don't be surprised if you end up in tears or feel a sense of danger and unpredictability watching her. She can be warm,tender and venerable but also terrifying and intense. Those Eyes, those eyes!! they have such captivating intensity. She has studied with the best of the best, including Lee Strasberg's long time student Cathy Leslie of the Actor's Studio. She only accepts reality and when others say enough she goes farther. There are no limits to her commitment. She has also studied with Margie Habor, 8 time Emmy Award Winner Mark Teschner, and Bobbie Chance. She is a founding Member of Grok Studios which functions in the same way as The Group Theatre and is moderated by Sean Rose. After a near death experience in a horse back riding accident, Amy maintains a strong sense of purpose. She donates a lot of her time to mentor others and serve. She says, "You just get over yourself and realize that you can use the hard experiences in your life to help others through theirs". She has a huge heart and is deeply caring. She is fearless and unfiltered. Known for always being honest and saying what she really thinks and really feels. With this purpose burring a fire in her she is co-writing and producing a feature film that is impactful and profoundly relevant. She believes every moment we are given is a blessing and lives her life accordingly.
