Simon Guy Fässler

Simon Guy Faessler works as a freelance cinematographer for fiction and documentary movies in Europe and worldwide. As a founding member of the film development and production company 8horses in Zurich, he is also directing and producing his own and other filmmakers projects. He has traveled to many continents for documentary work and has been able to gain insights into diverse cultures. Feature film projects have taken him to countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Iran and Chile. Since graduating from the University of fine Arts in Hamburg, his main base has been in Zurich. With his camera work for the fiction film Aloys by Tobias Noelle he was nominated in the competition for Best Debut Camera at Camerimage Festival Poland - and won the Swiss Film Award for Best Cinematography in 2017. Simon Guy Faessler is a member of the Swiss Cinematographers Society SCS.
