Abdullah Khalil(I)

Abdullah Khalil is an American actor that grew up in Detroit, Michigan and comes from a working-class family. Known for his grounded performances, emotional depth, and commanding on-screen presence, his work spans television, film, and theatre. As an undergraduate chemistry major, he originally planned to pursue a career in medicine and science. However, after seeing a production of Of Mice and Men at the Hilberry Theatre in Detroit, Michigan, he decided to study theatre instead. Upon completing his chemistry degree, Abdullah Khalil joined the Department of Theatre at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he performed in many main stage productions. During his training, he also studied at the Moscow Art Theatre School. Abdullah later moved to Los Angeles, California to continue pursuing acting and eventually earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree. In addition to his work as an actor, he works as a pediatric pharmacist at the local children’s hospital. His lived experience both inside and outside the entertainment industry informs the authenticity, humanity, and quiet intensity he brings to his performances. Outside of acting and medicine, Abdullah supports charitable efforts helping fund and build water wells in East Africa.
