  • Born in Taipei, in 1980. Jun-Chi Chang's work involves film, TV series and commercial. The style of his work is diverse and dynamic. Jung-Chi started his career from making documentary film. He is well known for collecting ideas from daily life, turning them into new perspectives, and he also has great instinct for catching characters' emotion.

    In 2006, his first documentary My Football Summer won him the Golden Horse Award for Best Documentary. Later in 2008, he made his first short film, The End of The Tunnel, brought him Golden Horse Award nomination for Best Short. In 2012, his first feature Touch of the Light, which was presented by director Wong Kar-Wai and represented Taiwan in the Academy Awards for best foreign language film, winning him the Golden Horse Award for Best New Director. In 2013, he was invited to direct a short film Mr. Chang's New Address in " Taipei Factory", which is a short film scheme launched by Taipei Film Commission and Director's Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival. In 2014, his second feature Partners in Crime was nominated in Toronto, Busan and Tokyo film festivals. In 2016, his third feature Edge of Innocence was based on a Shimada Soji novel. It was the first time Jung-chi made an adaption. His latest feature, We Are Champions, a basketball film, won him the Taipei Film Award for Best Director and many Golden Horse Award nominations.
