Born in South Africa and raised in Sydney, Australia, Marc's career began soon after grad- uating from the UNSW College of Fine Arts with a slew of award-winning, government funded shorts, ARIA nominated music videos and PSA's under his belt. His shorts 'Death's Requiem', 'Dark Horse' and 'A Perfect Circle' have scooped awards at St. Kilda, Method Fest, Eerie Horror Film Festival and Shriekfest and the Byron Bay International Film Festivals. Marc's commercial directing career has included major campaigns for Amnesty International, Sony, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Telstra and many more. He has directed major music videos for Warner, EMI, Universal and Sony.
'Terminus', Marc's first feature film as writer-director, was released worldwide by Vertical Entertainment in 2016. Marc's latest feature film as writer-director, a sci-fi thriller called 'Viper', stars Peter Facinelli (Twilight), Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Match Point), Stephen Dorff (Blade, Somewhere) and Neal McDonough (Minority Report, Band of Brothers) will be released in late 2024. Marc is also currently in post production on 'The Weight Of Darkness' starring Angus McFadyen (Braveheart), Jaime King (Sin City), Doug Jones (The Shape of Water) and Corbin Bernsen (Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang).
Marc is an executive producer of numerous projects including 'Ice Fall', starring Joel Kinnaman (The Killing, Suicide Squad), Danny Huston (30 Days of Night, Children of Men) & Graham Greene (Dances With Wolves, The Green Mile); the upcoming film 'Switzerland', directed by Anton Corbijn (Control, The American) starring Helen Mirren (The Queen) and Alden Ehrenreich (Solo, Oppenheimer) for Filmnation Entertainment and 'The Room Below' starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings).
Marc was a co-writer on the 2018 actioner 'In Like Flynn' and the Netflix Original 'Sweet River'. He is also writer and producer of 'Harlem 58' for Toil Films and Jamie Foxx's Foxxhole Productions. The screenplay was a finalist in the 2020 Final Draft Big Break Competition. Marc has sold his first TV-series pitch, 'The Coves', to Chris Hemsworth's Thematic Entertainment.
