Biography

Sarah Randall Hunt is an actress and filmmaker whose work blends humor, heart, transformation, and depth. Born and raised in Kansas, Sarah's passion for performance was evident from an early age, so much so that her grandmother affectionately dubbed her "Sarah Bernhardt."

After a brief stint studying opera, Sarah discovered her true calling in acting and earned her degree in the discipline from Emerson College. She then moved to New York City, where she honed her craft across a variety of mediums, including Off-Broadway theater, national tours, television, film, and commercials. Along the way, she studied with esteemed teachers like Larry Moss, Lesly Kahn, and Bob Krakower, refining her craft and developing a distinctive, multi-faceted approach to storytelling. She's been nominated for Best Featured Actress by BroadwayWorld West.

Now based in Los Angeles, Sarah collaborates closely with her husband, director and screenwriter Yaroslav Altunin, on several film and television projects. Together, they are committed to creating inclusive stories with humor and hope. Their films have been featured at renowned festivals such as HollyShorts, Dances With Films, Seoul WebFest, Kansas City Film Festival, LA Film Festival, and more. Their comedy web series, Stupid Cupid, which Sarah co-wrote, produced, and starred in, has garnered multiple accolades at film festivals and the Women in Film, TV, and Theatre Grant from MOME/NYFA.
