Maya Salganek is the founding Director of the Film Program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) and assistant professor of Film/Video Arts. She is a producer of feature length films Chronic Town (2008); Dear Lemon Lima (2009); alaskaLand (2012)_; The Messenger (2012); Mining for Ruby (2017), and as director/producer for short narrative, documentary, and educational films (The Muse (2015) Honoring the Gift: Ceremony, Celebration, and Community in Tikigaq Alaska (2007); Games of Inua (2004)).
